Join our history walking tour as we explore from The Landmark Theatre to Fore Street (one of the oldest streets in Ilfracombe). Listen to the history of some of the iconic buildings which still stand today.
Hear true stories of Ilfracombe’s past from the days of smuggling & wrecking to why did the Victorians love holidaying here, and how did Ilfracombe start the great war.

Great Torrington English Civil War Trail
Known as the forgotten battle of the English Civil War.
The Battle of Torrington started during the early hours of 16th February 1646. It was the decisive and final battle of the South West of England,
Join us as we walk the route for the battle of Torrington where soldiers on foot and horseback took part in fierce fighting; most of it was hand-to-hand.
Who was victorious, Parliament or Royalists.
This tour runs every Thursday from 5th January - 30th November at 10:20am & 2pm

Ilfracombe Lost Railway Tour
The Ilfracombe to Barnstaple line was opened in 1874 by the London and South Western Railway.
The branch opened as a single-track line and was upgraded to a double-track in 1889.
Named trains such as the Atlantic Coast Express and the Devon Belle both started and terminated at Ilfracombe.
Much of the line is still visible today, and sections of it have been converted into public cycleways.
